Collingwood Insurance Services are delighted to grow their Community Fund, an initiative launched in 2020. Aiming to support local charities in the area. Collingwood are pledging to help ease the running costs of North East charity Feeding Families.
Feeding Families, based in Blaydon, Newcastle upon Tyne, launched in 2016 and their charity work sees them provide relief to those experiencing poverty in the North East of England. Feeding Families offer those most in need, not only food, but also education and other resources which families could not otherwise afford.
Learner driver insurance specialists Collingwood based ln the North East , are delighted to insure the primary delivery van for Feeding Families free of charge for the next 12 months. The insurance provided by Collingwood will assist with the charity’s running costs and help Feeding Families continue to deliver their outstanding work.
Juliet Sanders, CEO and founder of Feeding Families, said “We are so grateful to Collingwood Insurance for supporting us by insuring our van. It’s another step forward in the growth of our charity and having the assurance of good cover for a valuable asset helped us to move forward with confidence. It means we will be able to help even more families in the year to come.”
With their donation to Feeding Families, Collingwood Insurance are continuing to build on their Community Fund initiative which launched in 2020. Through their Community Fund initiative, Collingwood assisted North Shields based charity, The BAY Foodbank, with over £3,000 worth of food donations in 2021. Collingwood also recently reaffirmed their commitment to The BAY Foodbank by continuing to donate over £3,000 of food donations throughout 2022.
Helen Shields, Contact Centre and Operations Director at Collingwood said: “We are delighted to renew our pledge to The BAY Foodbank and extend our Community Fund support to Feeding Families. We know how much of an impact the pandemic has had on individuals, businesses and charities over the last 18 months, so we hope the support we give to community focused charities will continue to help those most in need. “
